The Mission of United Way of Faribault is to unite community resources and expand our ability to improve lives. They enjoy advancing the common good of people in our community. These are the focus areas: Children and Youth

Enriching the lives of seniors through health and wellness and volunteer opportunities They have held quite a few community impact projects around Faribault including Born Learning Trail, Stuff the School bus, and the newest one to our campaign the Angel Giving Tree. Several youth from the STOPS program at the Faribault High School helped out with Stuff the Bus and put together the Born Learning Trail for United Way's Day of Caring. Power of the Purse is a new United Way event for women. It takes place from 5-8pm on March 5, 2009 in the Vintage Ballroom. The cost is $25 per person. This is more than a fundraiser with a delicious dinner, wine and a silent auction - with fashionable bags and "purse packages." It is also a fun networking opportunity with creative ways for leaders in Faribault to learn about issues in the community around Education, Health, and Financial Security and provide input about women's perspectives on improving conditions in these three areas.
